WALLEYBALL

WALLEYBALL- if you haven't heard of walleyball I am pleased to inform you about this very fast paced game. Walleyball is volleyball played in a raquetball court with a net seperating the courty in half. This is a faced pace game because you are allowed to play the ball off of the walls and ceilings and trust me, you definately need to watch out for getting hit in the face. Some basic rules to this game:

1. On the serve the ball cannot touch the net
2. On the serve the ball cannot hit the back wall of your opponent's side of the court or it is considered out of bounds.
3. On the serve the ball cannot bounce off of more than 1 of your opponents side walls or it is considered out of bounds.
4. Once the ball is in play you can only hit it off the ceiling on your side of the net and cannot hit the ceiling and go over the net to your opponents side of the court or that is considered out of bounds.
5. All other basic volleyball rules apply.

Word of advice, pay attention to the ball, it can bounce off of a wall so fast it hits you square in the face.

If you are looking to play or try to play walleyball, many facilities that have raquetball courts also have walleyball nets they can set up for you as well as walleyball balls.
